Title: Office Assistant

Hours: 7 hours/week, schedule flexible, some daytime hours necessary

Position Purpose
Office Assistant
Facilitates church operations through communication, coordination, and publication.

Organization: Organizes digital information and paperwork effectively to produce publications and retrieve with ease.

Communication:  Effectively and caringly communicates in verbal and written formats, including among multiple people and with a wide audience.

Trust and Integrity: is widely trusted to keep confidences, admit errors, and adhere to a transparent set of personal and professional values that are congruent with the ministry of the congregation.

Essential Functions
Communication: Coordinates production of, assembles, and edits church publications and website, working collaboratively with program staff and volunteers.  Distributes press releases and public service announcements.  Answers phone when in office.
Scheduling: Maintains online church calendar and schedules building and Zoom use.
Database: Maintains database of church members in Breeze Church Management Software.

Skills/Knowledge/Physical Requirements:

  • Proficiency with word processing and office suite programs and web-based editing.
  • Ability to learn online databases and publishing tools with ease.
  • Familiarity with basic office tasks.


  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Training in specific programs and other details will be provided.
